The Bank of Saint Lucia Limited is a dynamic and professional financial services institution that is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of:  


Senior Manager – Corporate Banking Services 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Actively leads and influences the implementation and achievement of the current and  future strategic and operational plans for Corporate Banking. 

  • Monitors performance on a continuous basis to ensure targets are being met, providing variance reports and recommending/taking corrective action as required. 

  • Maintains a portfolio of corporate business banking relationships with the aim of driving  growth of loans, deposits, and fee income. 

  • Applies credit policies and benchmarks for appraising corporate credit proposals and  manage the corporate credit portfolio. 

  • Establishes and maintains a sound department structure that supports business growth, with satisfactory definitions of role and responsibilities for ensuring smooth executive co-ordination and personnel relations at all levels of the department. 

  • Identifies strategic and operational risks, ensures mitigation strategies are in place, and  as appropriate, takes action to minimize any actual or potential impact. 

  • Ensures all operations are conducted in full compliance with laws, regulations and Bank of Saint Lucia’s Code of Conduct. 


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • A combination of a first degree and post graduate qualification in Banking, Economics, Finance, or a related field. 

  • A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Corporate and Investment Banking.

  • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience at a management level. 

  • Ability to analyze financial data. 

  • Knowledge of banking policies and practices including laws relating to banking.

  • Knowledge of lending principles and credit risk management. 

  • Investment knowledge and financial reporting experience will be an asset. 

  • Work experience in a syndicated lending environment will be an asset.

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic  partnerships, business planning, people and financial management.
