The Bank of Saint Lucia Limited is a dynamic and professional financial services institution that is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of: SME MANAGER 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the SME portfolio. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new SME clients. 

  • Build strong relationships with existing and potential SME customers. 

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME clients to meet revenue and profitability targets.  

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g.,credit risk, compliance, operations, and Recoveries) to ensure  seamless service delivery. 

  • Provide feedback to product teams on SME needs to inform product development 

  • Lead and mentor a team of SME officers or relationship managers. 

  • Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support professional development. 


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Management, Accounting, or related field. 

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in lending, credit assessment, and portfolio management.

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience leading a team. 

  • Demonstrated experience in credit assessment, loan underwriting, and portfolio management is essential.

  • Extensive knowledge in relation to the products and services offered by the Bank and/or financial  services industry. 

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial reports and legal documents. 

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

  • Extensive knowledge of Core Director Banking Software. 

  • Medium level of expertise in Microsoft of Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  

  • Sharp, resilient, and professional with the ability to think ahead and independently solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in carrying out assignments.
