Applications are currently being accepted for the position of Human Resources Personnel Officer.
General Accountability:
The Human Resources Personnel Officer is responsible for providing support to the Regional Human Resources Manager in the administration of the company’s Human Resources policies and procedures. This should be accomplished in conformity with company’s guidelines and standards.
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in directing and coordinating all aspects of the Human Resources function and its related activities at the Regional Office. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting line management with the appointments and transfers of officers within the area, ensuring the delivery of quality Human Resource service and the effective utilization of the company’s manpower resources.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in ensuring the operations of the Human Resources function within the Region conform to established guidelines and that operating efficiency and accuracy is achieved.
Provide support and assistance to the Regional Human Resources Manager in effectively managing and administering policies and procedures within the context of Human Resources Management as it pertains to recruitment, manpower/succession planning and career development of staff
Effectively manage the Human Resources support system from the Regional Office to the Island/Department network.
Assist with the administration of all compensation and benefit plans, including the development, modification, implementation and interpretation of relevant policies.
Complexity of Position:
The function of the Human Resources Department of the company is in a decentralized environment and is a complex one, where guidance, counseling and decision making must be carefully balanced so as to ensure that the Polices are uniformly administered by all Islands/Department. The incumbent therefore requires a thorough knowledge of the company’s Human Resources policies and guidelines.
The incumbent requires a good knowledge of security and accounting requirements as documented in various manuals and operating handbooks. Incumbent must stay abreast of changes (legal, etc.) as they pertain to Human Resources management. The incumbent must be capable of and will be required to conduct independent research.
The incumbent must develop a good understanding of personal computers, their application, and associated software.
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
Associate Degree or higher in Human Resource Development or in a related program.
Should have at least five (5) related experience in the field·
Must have working knowledge of the Labor Codes of various Caribbean Islands
Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast paced environment.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have a general understanding of the full scope of business, not just Human Resources.
Working knowledge of HRIS with the ability to train managers and staff, will be a distinct advantage.
