M&C Ltd. is seeking a qualified Accountant to join our Finance team and support the Divisional Financial Controller in managing financial operations, reporting, and internal controls. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making, lead a team, and ensure financial integrity across departments in a fast-paced, environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial reporting and management accounting - preparation of management accounts, financial statements and related reports.
Budgeting and strategic planning - preparation of annual budgets which support business strategies.
Departmental accounting support for M&C Shipping- preparation of management accounts and related reports.
Accounts payable and receivable oversight - the payment of statutory payments, subledger reconciliations and efficient management of receivables and payables.
Internal audit and statutory compliance - the regular review of systems and procedures to ensure efficiency, support of the external audit.
Team supervision and development - there is full compliance with company performance management systems, the implementation of appropriate training and coaching to improve employee performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A professional accounting designation (ACCA, CGA).
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a computerized accounting environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
Proven experience in finance management with strong technical knowledge with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.
Strong knowledge of accounting and regulatory standards.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and build successful teams.
Experience in budgeting, preparation of financial statements and management accounting.
Experience utilizing performance management to drive performance to achieve business goals.
Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
