SLDB - Marketing & Business Development Officer (Apply Now!!)



The Saint Lucia Development Bank is seeking to recruit a Marketing & Business Development Officer who will be responsible developing appropriate and effective marketing programs, identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase profits.


Skills & Core Competencies Required:

  • Strong ethical background.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in a professional capacity in writing for online platforms and website content management systems.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships, and experience working with varied stakeholders including government departments, and media outlets.

  • Experience developing and designing high resolution digital material such as brochures, flyers, annual reports, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience with content management systems in the delivery and maintenance of website and e-Newsletters, and social media.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing websites including monitoring performance, trends and reporting using web analytics tools and a good knowledge of principles of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

  • Strong planning, organizing, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare presentations for internal and external use, including training and support the corporate outreach and communication programme of the Bank.

  • Create, coordinate, and execute communications and marketing material in line with the Marketing & Communications Strategy and Brand Guidelines.

  • Research, develop, and pitch innovative, engaging, and informative content to maximise brand awareness.

  • Develop a consistent high standard of accurate and engaging content, including media releases, public statements and other key and feature messages.

  • Develop, monitor, and evaluate Bank communication, including coordinating and developing content for newsletters, surveys, event invitations, and other communications materials.

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals.

  • Oversee and report on social media accounts design including generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content.

  • Develop and execute the Bank’s research programme and assist with the production of the Bank’s annual reports.

  • Conducting business process analyses and reviews in line with the Bank’s strategic direction.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Marketing, Management, Business Studies, Communication Studies, or other related discipline.

  • Specialized training in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications/Market Research.

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role.
