Bambou Resort in Martinique invites qualified applicants from Saint Lucia to apply for the following position.


Position Overview

Job Title: Cook

Department: Kitchen / Food Production

Location: Trois-Ilets, Martinique (97229)

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (6 months)

Working Hours: 39 hours/week, including weekends and public holidays

Hourly Rate: Negotiable, based on experience

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

Qualification Level: Skilled Employee

Industry: Hotel & Hospitality (100–199 employees)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and planning of the menu

  • Prepare dishes: seafood, meat and fish, starters and desserts, etc.

  • Manage the hot station

  • Oversee stock management

  • Maintain and clean the workstation


Required Skills & Attributes

  • Proactive and solution-oriented

  • Rigorous and precise in execution

  • Responsive and adaptable under pressure


Education & Languages

  • CAP, BEP or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts

  • English: basic working knowledge

  • Driving license B (light vehicle) required


Working Conditions

  • Weekend and public holiday work required, according to schedule

  • Uniform provided by the establishment, to be worn as required

  • Possible participation in special events (themed evenings, buffets, etc.)
