Bank of Saint Lucia Limited is a dynamic and professional financial services institution that is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position of: SME Officer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but not limited to:
Proactively and persuasively sell products to customers.
Review assigned customer portfolio and contact all customers within portfolio at least bi-annually.
Document SME customers’ unmet needs, identify the profile of the prospect and capture his/her information while presenting alternative value propositions and to provide offers depending on the business customer’s profile.
Visit customer’s business at least bi-annually and record visit and outcome through call report which is to be maintained in customer’s file.
Compile data on loan applications and report to the direct supervisor on a weekly basis.
Analyze financial statements to determine eligibility for requested credit facilities.
Communicate and record the SME customer’s loan decision, e.g., record non-approvals, product delivery, inform the SME customer response time, negotiate terms and rates (when applicable), notify the SME customer of the availability of the product/service, register products in the system and request SME customer’s information.
Comply with the Bank’s operational risk and compliance policies.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum of three (3) years’ related experience as a Lending Officer.
Demonstrated experience in engaging SME clients.
Demonstrated proficiency in financial statements analysis.
Medium level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be a registered owner of a vehicle.
