Title: Clubhouse Hospitality Associate
Department: Clubhouse
Reports To: Managing Director, Human Resource Manager, Accountant, Production Manager
1. Position Summary
The Clubhouse Hospitality Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining and hospitality experience to employees, visitors, management, and external guests. This position serves as the frontline ambassador of the Clubhouse and is expected to uphold professional restaurant-style service standards while supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
The incumbent will be responsible for customer service, cashiering, food service
support, food safety compliance, inventory control, and maintaining a welcoming dining environment. The position requires an individual who is passionate about hospitality, possesses basic food preparation skills, and can provide support in the kitchen when required.
The successful candidate will contribute to the transformation of the Clubhouse into a professional dining and hospitality facility that reflects the values, quality standards, and reputation of Baron Foods Limited.
2. Job Duties
Customer Service & Hospitality
Welcome all customers, visitors, management personnel, and guests in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
Ensure that every customer receives prompt, attentive, and exceptional service.
Anticipate customer needs and provide assistance before being asked.
Maintain a pleasant and professional atmosphere within the Clubhouse.
Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly.
Promote daily menu offerings, beverages, and specials.
Assist in creating a positive dining experience that encourages customer satisfaction and repeat patronage.
Cashiering & Administrative Functions
Operate the cash register and Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately and
efficiently.
Calculate customer bills and process all transactions.
Balance and reconcile the cash register daily.
Prepare daily sales summaries and reports as required.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and inventory usage.
Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory records.
Food Service Operations
Assist with serving meals and beverages in accordance with established service standards.
Ensure food is presented professionally and attractively.
Monitor serving stations and replenish supplies as required.
Assist with the setup and servicing of meetings, special events, executive functions, and VIP visits.
Assist in creating a restaurant-style customer experience that reflects professionalism and hospitality excellence.
Kitchen Support
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly as required.
Support the cook during busy periods.
Demonstrate basic cooking skills and the ability to prepare simple menu items.
Provide temporary kitchen support in the absence of the cook.
Assist with portioning, packaging, and food presentation.
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and prepared foods.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements.
Comply with all applicable FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System requirements and company food safety procedures.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs), and sanitation standards.
Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
Report food safety risks, hazards, customer concerns, and non-conformities
immediately.
Participate in food safety, quality, and customer service training initiatives.
Support the organization's philosophy that every employee is a Food Safety and Quality Champion.
Inventory & Stock Control
Conduct weekly stock counts of Clubhouse inventory.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock items.
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing supplies.
Ensure stock is rotated using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles.
Minimize waste and report inventory discrepancies.
Housekeeping & Facility Maintenance
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of the Clubhouse.
Empty waste receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal.
Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and customer areas.
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and service areas.
Maintain restroom supplies, including paper towels, soap, and toilet tissue.
Ensure the Clubhouse remains clean, organized, professional, and inspection-ready at all times.
General Responsibilities
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Clubhouse.
Promote teamwork and a positive workplace culture.
Perform related duties as assigned by management.
3. Education
Secondary Level Education (CXC/CSEC or equivalent).
Certification in Hospitality, Food Service, Customer Service, Food Preparation, or a related discipline would be considered an asset.
4. Experience
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in hospitality, food service, restaurant operations, catering, hotel services, or a similar upscale customer-focused environment.
Experience operating a cash register or Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
Experience in food preparation and customer service is highly desirable.
