Job Summary

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily logistics operations, ensuring that goods and services are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time. This role involves overseeing the logistics team, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management: 

  • Supervise daily logistics operations, including transportation.


  • Ensure timely and accurate shipment and delivery of goods: 

    • Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, Customer Service requirements and other records to determine priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

    • Verifies all goods leaving the factory, both locally and overseas, for correct pricing and quantity.

    • Monitor logistics systems to track shipments and resolve delivery issues.


  1. Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:

    • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and other external partners to optimize the supply chain.

    • Negotiate rates and service agreements with vendors when necessary.

    • Notify customers if shipments are delayed.


  1. Team Supervision:

    • Manage, train, and evaluate the performance of logistics staff.

    • Assign tasks and schedules to team members to ensure smooth operations.

    • Promote a safe and collaborative working environment.

  1. Process Optimization:

  • Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and implement solutions.

  • Develop cost-effective strategies to improve operations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows.


  1. Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics activities.

  • Prepare reports on logistics performance and key metrics for management.


  1. Asset Management:

  • Monitor and manage the maintenance of logistics equipment and assets.



Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in logistic management, business administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, with supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must be fully acquainted with ASYCUDA World software.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Analytical skills to evaluate performance data and optimize operations.

  • Commitment to safety and compliance.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Working Conditions:

  • May involve occasional overtime or weekend work based on operational needs.

  • Requires ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
