Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and bakery operations of our high-

quality resort kitchen. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is passionate about producing exceptional desserts, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining five-star standards. The successful candidate will also bring

strong leadership skills to manage and develop the pastry team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pastry and bakery operations

• Create and execute innovative dessert and pastry menus

• Ensure consistent production of high-quality products to resort standards

• Train, supervise, and manage pastry team members

• Maintain proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

• Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and ensure proper storage practices

• Ensure all items are prepared, presented, and stored according to standards

• Collaborate with the Culinary Director on menu development and special events

• Produce specialty items including wedding cakes, showpieces, and artisan bread

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Formal culinary or pastry training (preferred)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Basic computer literacy (MS Office is an asset)

• Valid Health Card

• Criminal Record Clearance (mandatory)

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar leadership role

• Proven experience in a 5-star hotel or resort environment (preferred)

• Expertise in producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and bakery items

• Strong creativity and ability to design menus based on current trends

• Experience with wedding cakes, showpieces, and artisan breads

• Strong leadership, delegation, and team management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and consistency

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
