Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Job Overview
As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor you will be at the helm of supervising and coordinating maintenance activities, managing a team of skilled technicians and ensuring that all facets of our property run efficiently and safely. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving ensuring that out facilities remain in top-notch condition. Whether its overseeing routine maintenance tasks, handling emergency repairs, or implementing preventative maintenance programs, the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays an essential role in creating a functional and safe environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
i) Supervise maintenance staff and contractors
ii) Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs.
iii) Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
iv) Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
v) Manage budgeting and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
vi) Coordinate repair and maintenance schedules.
vii) Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.
viii) Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
ix) Prepare reports on maintenance activities and expenditures.
x) Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for maintenance tasks
xi) Performs any other job-related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in facilities management or related field
Certification in facilities management
Experience with building automation systems.
Knowledge of heating, ventilation and air condition, plumbing and electrical
systems.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in maintenance management software.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
Proven track record of supervisory experience.
Basic understanding of operational safety and health regulations to ensure
that employees work in a safe and healthy environment by setting and
enforcing standards and providing training.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Troubleshooting electronics – cameras etc.
Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Willingness to work outside of regular hours as needed.
