Sea Spray Cruises, a local company which provides land and sea tours has an

opening for a Reservation Specialist. The following are the requirements:


Responsibilities

The Reservation Specialist is responsible to apprise client on the various products

offered by the company; answering questions while maintaining a positive,

professional attitude.


Duties

1. Sell and promote tours to clients.

2. Required to work flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.

3. Provide information to customers about the reservation process.

4. Upselling when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services

or special packages, such as customizing tours and private tours.

5. Make reservations for customers based on their requirements and

budgetary allowances.

6. Correct allocation of boats and all necessary information into Fareharbor

7. Check the availability of all tours.

8. Prepare the schedule and review bookings ahead of each month to verify

any double bookings, errors, etc.

9. Process payments and send confirmation details to customers

10.Sort out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.

11.Provide support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a

reservation.

12.Inform management of refunds as soon as confirmed via WhatsApp.

13.Prepare all tour tickets for accounting

14.Place order for meals/refreshments for all tours that require this service.

15.Schedule transfer pick-ups north and south bound.

16.Prepare and enter cruise ship calendar into Fareharbor as soon as

received, as well as updating as changes are made by suppliers.

17.Set up and create daily scheduling of staff. Staff should be informed of the

weekly schedule at the beginning of each week.

18.Schedule relevant boats for tours.

19.Any other related duties assigned by the Managing Director or his

designate.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. An Associate Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Travel and

Tourism or related field.

2. Experience in the hospitality or travel industry is required.

3. Knowledge of and experience with staff scheduling would be an asset

4. Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office, marketing software and

applications

5. Well organized and detail oriented

6. Exceptional communication and writing skills


Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
