Job Description: Sales & Marketing Specialist – Guest Experiences & Events
Position Overview
The Sales & Marketing Specialist – Guest Experiences & Events will play a key role in driving revenue and brand visibility for Stonefield Villa Resort. This position will support the resort’s sales and marketing objectives by overseeing all on-property promotional and marketing initiatives. The role will assist the Reservations Manager with finalizing incoming bookings and will focus on maximizing revenue through the sale of event spaces for weddings, celebrations, and special gatherings. Additionally, the position will provide support in the execution of events as required.
This is a dynamic, guest-facing position suited for a creative, organized, and relationship-driven professional who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Support
Collaborate with the Managing Director of Sales & Marketing to create and execute on-property marketing initiatives.
Assist as needed with the management of onsite social media content creation, photography and videography executions, and the hosting of press, travel writers, influencers and VIP’s
Track and analyze marketing performance metrics for event sales and guest engagement.
Represent the resort at local networking events, bridal fairs, and community functions.
Event Sales & Management Support
In collaboration with the Managing Director of Sales & Marketing, develop and manage sales strategies for weddings, private events, and corporate retreats.
Assist Weddings and Events Manager in responding to event inquiries, conducting site tours, and creating tailored proposals aligned with the resort’s brand and guest expectations.
Assist department Manager with coordinating with the operations, culinary, and guest services teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Maintain relationships with event planners, photographers, and local vendors to enhance the resort’s event offerings.
Reservations Support
Assist the Reservations Manager with daily booking operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in guest reservations.
Communicate with guests regarding special requests, upgrades, and event related stays.
Support group bookings and coordinate room blocks for wedding and event guests.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hospitality sales, event planning, or marketing (boutique or luxury experience preferred).
Strong understanding of event sales cycles, guest experience design, and brand marketing.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in CRM and reservation systems (e.g., Opera, ResNexus, or similar).
Creative eye for design and storytelling consistent with a boutique resort aesthetic.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings for events.
