The Corner Boutique & Cafe - Boutique Sales Clerk

Overview

We are seeking an attentive, poised and professional sales clerk with excellent interpersonal skills preferably with a passion for fashion.  The ideal candidate should also have a good grasp of standard mathematics, comfortable with numbers and dealing with cash and P.O.S. systems.

Key Responsibilities 

• Preparing the store upon opening, ensuring that everything is in place, clean and presentable including displays, countertops, show windows and doors and the floor.

• Greeting and assisting customers.

• Entering all sales data into the system

• Keeping accurate account of all inventory for textiles, jewelry, fragrances and gift items.

• Advising superiors of any depletions, damages, sales trends and comments from customers on all merchandise and the shop in general.

• Keeping the shop presentable at all times including including steam ironing textiles on display.

• Closing off the sales at the end of day and filing the daily reconciliation report from the P.O.S. system.

Qualifications 

• Ability to stay focused on slow or fast paced days.

• Proficient in mathematics with some basic computer skills.

• Flexibility to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Experience would be an asset
