Bank of Saint Lucia Limited is a dynamic and professional financial services institution that is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position of: Manager - Corporate Banking Operations


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Duties include but not limited to:


  • Oversee the underwriting of corporate credits from origination, credit analysis, the preparation of credit applications and ensuring adherence to the conditions of approval and disbursement.

  • Oversee the preparation of commitment letters to ensure that all conditions of approval of the facility are incorporated including the adequacy of the collateral assignment, stipulation of financial covenants and any special provisions.

  • Implement appropriate mechanisms to ensure timely identification, review and reporting of existing and potential problem accounts.

  • Supervise, coach, develop, and manage the performance of Corporate Credit Analysts.

  • Ensures that effective operational systems are in place to maximize achievement of the goals of the Corporate Banking Department.

  • Establishes strong and effective procedures, practices and systems aligned to the standards of Internal Audit of the organization within the division.

  • Lead the planning/scheduling of the back-office operations of the Corporate Banking Department to ensure proper and timely workflow processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, operational and anti-money laundering policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Promotes the provision of excellent customer service at all times.

  • Manage the output of the Corporate Department to ensure quality control through adherence to best practice and established procedures.



QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


  • A combination of a First Degree and Post Graduate qualification in Banking Business, Economics, Finance or related fields from an accredited university.

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Lending, Investments and Banking.

  • A minimum of six (6) years’ management experience.

  • Ability to analyze financial data.

  • Knowledge of Banking policies and practices including Law relating to Banking.

  • Sound knowledge of Lending principles, particularly Corporate Lending, and Credit Risk Management.
