Boslil Bank Limited is currently seeking applications for suitably qualified persons to fill the following position.


COMPLIANCE OFFICER


GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Provide support to the Compliance Department in executing the Bank’s Compliance and Risk Management policies, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and testing of Compliance control systems.



KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure files are reviewed on a timely basis.

  • Liaise with business development and client relationship officers regarding account opening matters and other procedures.

  • Ensure prompt attention to Compliance queries and correspondence between internal parties, and assist with communication to external stakeholders of the Bank.

  • Assist Compliance Manager with the preparation of monthly/quarterly compliance reports as requested.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • BSc. Degree in Banking/Finance/Business from an accredited college or university, (3) three years’ international financial services and banking/financial services experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advance diploma in Banking/Accounting/ Business Plus, three A ‘Levels or CAPE passes in Accounting/Business/Finance/Entrepreneurship/Economics.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ Banking experience.

  • Ability to speak and write fluently a second language preferably Spanish would be an asset.

  • International exposure and an understanding of international business cultures will be an asset.

  • Monitor client files and activities on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with the Bank’s risk management policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Liaise with other Bank staff to update client files as required.

  • Monitor Compliance controls within the risk management framework of the Bank, ensuring adherence to existing policies and procedures and adequate changes are made where new risks emerge.
