Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa - People & Culture Manager

Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a strategic, compassionate, and highly professional People & Culture Manager. The successful candidate will guide our human resources team and shape the workplace environment for our 500 plus member family of hospitality professionals. In this role, the expectation is that you will champion employee wellbeing, manage full-cycle talent development, and guarantee compliance with Saint Lucian labor and other laws. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department and directly supervise the People & Culture team.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic HR Leadership: Direct the resort's people and culture strategy to align with our service standards and hospitality goals.

• Talent Management & Acquisition: Manage recruitment, onboarding, off boarding and comprehensive brand and service standard orientation programs.

• Employee Engagement: Design and implement staff recognition, health and wellness initiatives, and regular team appreciation events.

• Labor Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with Saint Lucia's labor legislation and manage employee relations appropriately.

• Training & Development: Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps, organize service training, and implement clear career development paths.

• Administrative Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely workforce reporting, updating of personnel files, and payroll compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Hospitality Administration, or a related business field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR management experience, with a keen preference for large-scale resort or hotel operations.

• Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Saint Lucian employment laws, statutory regulations, and industrial relations.

• Skills: High emotional intelligence, conflict resolution skills, and proficiency with HRIS and Time and attendance platforms.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
